Macallan Folio 5

The Macallan Folio 5 is part of The Macallan Archival Series, which celebrates the distillery’s classic advertising campaigns from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. This edition commemorates an advert featuring the tale of a “Luggy Bonnet” with the words “Keep this knot firmly tied.” The sketched image on the packaging recalls a scene of acquaintances at the end of a day on Speyside, where one sportsman misses the opportunity of a dram of The Macallan due to his hat covering his ears.

Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Rich aroma of dates and fresh figs, with sweet raisin mingled with warming ginger and wood spice
- Palate: Smooth and complex, with flavors of dried fruits, vanilla, and a hint of oak
