Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Legacy Edition 3 is a special limited release that pays tribute to the brand’s historic label designs from the early 20th century. The Legacy Edition series began as a way to showcase past packaging styles of Jack Daniel’s, and Edition 3 is particularly striking, featuring a bold bright red and gold label that stands out from the traditional black-and-white design we’re used to seeing on Old No. 7.

This edition is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof), slightly higher than the standard 40% ABV, which gives it a bit more character and depth on the palate. The whiskey inside remains the classic Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, made from a mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye, charcoal mellowed drop by drop using the Lincoln County Process, and aged in new American oak barrels.

In terms of flavor, Legacy Edition 3 offers the familiar Jack Daniel’s profile—notes of vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, and a touch of spice—but with a slightly richer body and bolder finish due to the higher proof. It’s smooth and approachable but with a little more warmth and flavor concentration than the regular No. 7.
