Bells whisky Christmas 2002 edition is a special release of Bells Extra Special 8 year old blended Scotch whisky in a ceramic decanter shaped like a bell. The decanter features a portrait of James Watt, a Scottish inventor who improved the design of the steam engine and gave his name to the unit of power, the watt. The decanter was part of a series celebrating great Scottish inventors, and it came with a collectable box and a booklet. The whisky itself is a smooth and rich blend of malt and grain whiskies from various regions of Scotland, including the Highland distillery of Blair Athol, which is the main component of Bells whisky. The whisky has notes of vanilla, honey, spice and smoke, and is best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water.
